

Woodalls was appointed by a leading European digital infrastructure operator to deliver the full spatial transformation of their regional headquarters and flagship network operations hub in Paris. Our role encompassed comprehensive data centre workplace strategy, technical spatial mapping and interior architecture to unite mission-critical technology with human-centric workspace. The completed environment establishes a progressive operational standard, directly integrating high-density monitoring environments with collaborative zones to enhance uptime, support a high-performance engineering culture and champion operational excellence in the European tech sector.



Shattering the data-hub stereotype
The design focuses on signature environments that redefine the typical infrastructure office by blending mission-critical function with premium hospitality aesthetics. At the heart of the facility sits the 'Uptime Lounge', an expansive, hospitality-inspired social hub and barista station positioned directly alongside the main technical control room. Separated by smart-tinting acoustic glass, this space ensures constant visual connectivity to active operations while providing an inviting refuge for shift handovers and collaborative troubleshooting. Meticulous detailing is showcased in the custom, height-adjustable ergonomic diagnostic desks and fully integrated wall-sized media displays. Material selections were strictly vetted for both performance and luxury, pairing anti-static, cleanable composite flooring with soft acoustic wall panelling. The combination yields a balanced, high-performance tech ecosystem that elevates the daily experience of critical network engineers.
